ABOUT ME

Founder & Personal Trainer bij Valtaris

My name is John Jacobus. I am a certified personal trainer with Dutch Fitnesstrainer A and B qualifications and 15+ years of experience with strength training and fitness.

Active reading is an important part of my own development. I read widely in psychology, philosophy and literature. It broadens my view of discipline, behaviour and personal growth, and it shapes the way I coach people.

At Valtaris I combine that knowledge with practical coaching: focused training, making conscious choices and understanding why a particular approach works.

WHY I BECAME A TRAINER

Training has been a fixed part of my life since I was fifteen. Over the years I have experienced how much difference good technique, structure and consistency can make.

When I started coaching people myself, I noticed how often people train hard without a clear direction. Exercises are done because they are popular, programs are changed randomly and progress is barely tracked.

MY APPROACH

I deliberately take on a limited number of clients, so that every client gets the time, attention and guidance needed to make real progress.

Whether it is about losing weight, building muscle or improving your fitness: every journey starts with an extensive intake in which I discuss your goals, experience and lifestyle. Based on that, I create a personal plan that is fully tailored to your situation.

During the journey I track your performance and technique. Based on that, I adjust the training, increase the challenge when possible and correct course when something is not working.
